I found two things that were very surprising were the story wasn’t about soccer and it was a mystery. When it wasn’t about soccer, I didn’t know what it was going to be a about. Then in the second chapter I could tell it was a mystery. I was surprised because in the first chapter it didn’t seem like either a mystery or about soccer. I found that it was more surprising that it wasn’t about soccer. It really surprised me that it wasn’t about soccer because of its title (The Penalty).A penalty can be an important score to win a game. Also on the cover it has a soccer ball coming in soccer net. Also when it wasn’t about soccer I didn’t know what it was going to be about. Until the second chapter a key player on a traveling team is by far best player his age in the country goes missing. When that happened I knew it was going to be a mystery then, but I was surprised when this happened. I was very surprised by the way of the story turned out.
